Ladies and Gentlemen: we are pleased to announce that programming will involve not two, but three tracks this year!
Firstly, there will be Presentations From The Royal Pundit Society wherein intellectuals, academics, and other noted authorities will impart scintillating analyses of Steampunk and related topics, from literary diagnostics to exploration of the Victorian natural sciences. Come and expand your mind! Literary Guest of Honor: James Blaylock, Author
Secondly, there will be Salon Discussions & Intellectual Debate Club, each one hosted by a panel of like-minded experts willing to converse, confer, and trash out answers to great steampunk philosophical questions covering the areas of science, art, literature, and fashion. Let the debates commence! Artist Guests of Honor: Phil & Kaja Foglio, Girl Genius
Lastly, we are delighted to announce there will be an entire room dedicated to practical applications for taking over the world. The Curiosities Museum will play host to seven (over the course of the weekend) hour and three quarter long Maker’s Interactive Workshops. Attendees are encouraged to drop by with their projects and consult experts on steampunk crafting. It’s our hope that this track will encourage community creativity, and that unexpected evil geniuses will also arrive to share their knowledge. Maker Guest of Honor: Jon Sarriugarte, Form and Reform
Programs will run 10 AM to 6 PM Saturday, and 10 AM to 4 PM Sunday.
In addition, daytime activities will include: The Traders’ Concourse, The Exploratory Steam & Kinetics Enclosure, The Curiosities Museum, The Telegraph & Gramophone Communications Hub, and Miss Kalendar’s Social Salon & Card Room.
